The Patricians bought out the Wonks and turned them into Enablers.

Ooof. It tracks but yeah... damn.

If you asked me 10 years ago, I'd have told you that people are swayed by facts, not theater, movies, videogames, comics, music etc. I'd have said Theodor Adorno was wrong.

I'm less categorical now. Reality TV, Social Media and now AI had a cost. People are lessened by narratives without a soul.

Is that where you pivoted to the more instrumental part of your skillset, or is there more to it?

Few things break my heart more than seeing creativity be "rewarded" with day jobs and low incomes.

With some practice now I can noodle in C# minor. 😅

All of these cynically conceited enablers have fed billions of dollars of financing and support to the racists, and are riding the tiger, naively thinking they can keep their winning side of their pet issue going without engulfing the world in flames.

We're in big trouble as long as so many are conceited:
- Equity havers for thinking the exponential growth in their havings can go on forever
- Very old people who cling to power
- Coal
- Putin
- Those who enjoy getting their black-and-white views vindicated on partisan news
- The whole Israel thing

Patricians have changed. They've become enablers. They increasingly go along with liars and fraudsters if they think "riding the tiger" and consorting with sociopaths can keep the gravy train going just a little bit longer, even though they damn well know that the shiv is coming for them too.

A seminal moment! The PC went from having no real rendering hardware and having to have every single pixel go through the CPU pipeline, to being this rendering powerhouse.

Ngl that tracks. Such a difficult field...

Zohran certainly has his work cut out for him! And yeah thank God, the left really needed the win after the recent doom arc.
