If the aims of the anthology is to keep the vibes feel-good, sure, remove it all together. Save it for a more candid documentary.

And I don’t think it’s good in general, but I still think it’s important to show even The Beatles held problematic beliefs of their time.

I can agree with the outrage on the grounds of ensuring an accurate portrayal of what kind of guy John was, warts and all. Disney already has disclaimers and content warnings.
I wouldn’t want new fans having a false image of John being a “cooler”, more respectful guy than he actually was.
