Probably too creative for my own good, but I've never found that to be a bad thing.
Oh fantastic! I just started following Bob Fowler, so this is a terrific breadcrumb. Thanks a bunch! You're making my upcoming jobs much easier! 🙌🏻

Indeed, they are terrific. I am a little nervous about resetting the shuttle when I finally get to it, but I have a lot of tutorials to help me get there. Fingers crossed!

Reminder: Always, always, choose disassembly. 👍🏻

Very neat! I am working on a model 27 treadle (and its cabinet) – it's the machine that was behind the 201 in the video. It will also need to be stripped down and repainted. Incredibly rewarding, though! I love bringing these machines back to life.

They really are. When they were dubbed the "Cadillac of sewing machines?" 👍🏻💯 Now, kids had inscribed their names in the bed over the years, so she will need to be stripped down and repainted (husband repaints classic cars, so we've got this). But she's going to be gorgeous and run like a dream!

Loving seeing my little county in the middle (Nelson) all lit up in blue, right next to our neighbors in Albemarle/Charlottesville. We are a rural county of only about 13,000, and the MAGA here are vocal and active. Nevertheless, we had a great turnout this time around!

If Vance weren't next in line... {{{shudder}}}

Aww, thank you! It's getting there day by day, both the finger and the quilting. ☺️

Right there with you!

Indeed, that is very helpful! Well, repetition legitimizes. You will get it! 😊👍🏻

It sounds like it will be well worth the effort, though. A serger/coverstitch is on my bucket list of next things, so I am mildly envious. 😍 You definitely have a gorgeous main rig! 💙

My first sewing machine that was "mine" had bern given to me by my grandmother, a 1956 Riccar. She had been a tailor and had used it prodigiously until 1989; and then I used it until 2008, when I gave it to a collector friend when I couldn't repair it anymore. My Juki TL is now my main rig. 😊

Oh, she's a beaut! 💜 ... The white 60s model is still n my list if I see one come up someday.
