That's how I felt visiting the German Bundestag this past summer in Berlin.

You can take a free tour to the top of the building (the dome) & you learn about the history of the building & the surrounding Berlin area.

They write very bluntly about what happened.

Visited Skandinaviske Dyrepark this week with the family & it was wonderful.

The animals were so happy & well fed.

The juvenile polar bears liked to belly flop into the water to get their food

Most Europeans do not understand Christian Nationalist movement in the US.

They do not understand the daily indoctrination that occurs from the time a child is born in some areas of the US.

There are more churches in some areas than libraries, schools, & bookstores combined

Took my kids Berlin this summer & we went on the Reichstag dome tour. There is an area covering the history of the Reichstag fire & rebuild.

These people do understand what they are saying. They want the US left & everyone to stop fighting & submit

Believe them when they tell you who they are.

I found it interesting that the US attorneys argued that the tarrifs should continue because otherwise it might cause a "financial ruin"in the US if they had to repay them or how it would affect the "special" deals countries made with the US.

"Why should we have consequences for illegal deals?"
Suddenly revoking the president's tariff authority under IEEPA would have catastrophic consequences for our national security, foreign policy, and economy," they wrote in a letter. "The president believes that our country would not be able to pay back the trillions of dollars that other countries have already committed to pay, which could lead to financial ruin." The ruling also raises questions about deals some nations agreed with the US for reduced tariffs rates. The latest development means the case is now almost certain to head to the Supreme Court, which has in recent years taken a sceptical view toward presidents who try to implement sweeping new policies that are not directly authorised by Congress. During Joe Biden's presidency, the court expanded on what it called the "major questions doctrine" to invalidate Democratic efforts to use existing laws to limit greenhouse gas emissions by power plants and to forgive student loan debt for millions of Americans.

Zelenskyj is visiting Aarhus today and will meet with the King & Queen as well as Danish & EU representatives.

Zelenskyj was invited by the Danish government as they want to show continued support for Ukraine becoming part of the EU.

So another article said his father did not meet one of the requirements for living in the US at the time of his sons birth.

However, the court also ruled that a US military base in Germany is not controlled or by the US government's laws, which would be news to Germany, etc.

I forgot to take a picture yesterday but this is a swarm I moved this morning at 5am that had settled 3~ meters up in an apple tree.

They ended up not fully fitting into the travel case

We have had beautiful weather in Denmark for most of April & May. That means the honeybees have been hard at work building their hives and making honey.

If they start to run out of space they will swarm.

In the last 8 days I have captured 3 swarms.

I feel like LLMs are the are the ultimate expression of Americans hate for experts & intellectuals.

There is talk of replacing all the researchers & scientists with LLMs.

Now, everyone can do anything without any knowledge or learning and they are better than the experts! /s

There are cookbooks in Europe from WW1 & WW2. In Denmark recipes used leeks in everything.

1. Grow relatively fast (cut off the root end and plant it back in the ground)
2. Cheap
3. Can be used in basically everything

III. Conclusion A rich literature theoretically characterizes the motivations behind enacting tar- iff policies and the potential implications they carry. Relatively little is known, how- ever, about how economies in practice respond to tariffs, particularly when these trade policies involve large countries that have the potential to influence prices. Will the response of exporters be symmetric across countries and types of goods? How quickly will prices adjust? Will prices at the store adjust similarly to prices at the border? To answer these questions, we collect and analyze microdata on prices and characterize the reaction of importers, retailers, and exporters to US trade policy since 2018. We find that tariffs passed through almost fully to US import prices, implying that much of the tariffs’ incidence rests with the United States. In these same data, we find far lower rates of pass-through from exchange rate shocks into import prices, suggesting that the depreciation of the Chinese renminbi against the US dollar during the summer of 2019 did little to offset the impact of the tariffs. Furthermore, we show how the response of US exporters to foreign retaliatory tariffs was not symmetric. Foreign tariffs targeted undifferentiated goods exported by the United States, and US exporters significantly reduced their ex-tariff export prices on these goods, particularly on shipments to China. Finally, despite the rapid increase in the total cost of importing goods, we find more mixed evidence regarding retail price increases, which suggests that many US retailers reduced the profit margin on their sales of the affected goods. Should we expect these same patterns to hold for the medium or longer term if the recently installed tariffs remain in place? We offer some evidence that importers to some extent front-ran the recent changes in trade policy and document an incipient trade diversion away from China. Trump saw a graph that illustrates tarrifs being the main source of federal government revenue from 1790-1860~ and thinks that is what is needed.

He lacks fundamental understanding of math.
