Three days of the year left, which means three days left in which to complete my 2024 reading project - reading a volume a month from Anthony Powell’s A Dance to the Music of Time sequence (pesky labyrinthitis put me back a bit.) I think it’s doable!

I had a couple of false starts with my Christmas Golden Age Mystery reading this year, but got there in the end! I really enjoyed this: disparate characters snowed into a country house, dry humour and commentary on post-war Britain. Just the festive ticket 📚🎄📚

3. Tragedy! His fury at how long the big bear took me meant he kicked a load of pieces across the floor and one piece seems destined never to be found…
