A dragon floats above a waterfall, resembles a sunrise. In Chinese mythology, the Dragon Gate lies at the top of a legendary mountain. Koi swim upstream and attempt to reach the top of the waterfall. Few are brave or dedicated enough to make it, but the ones that do transform into dragons. Spirit Owl sticker. Surreal barn owl flying that appears to be unraveling at the edges in a trippy way.

Snow off your snake art 🐍
Medusa. Ink & watercolor. She was once human, but has been transformed into a monster. She sits alone in rubble & ruins, having a quiet moment with her curse. Some of the snakes in her hair seem restless. There is one that she's making eye contact with and she tenderly reaches a hand out to it.

I just finished Wild Faith by @swordsjew.bsky.social & as someone who was raised in the Christian right, I'd recommend it to anyone who wasn't raised that way, as a way to understand how we got here in the US.

I think maybe I find nymphs interesting because they seem like a monster born of men's misunderstandings, from a time when women's perspectives were not really considered. I draw them with tenderness because I relate to them.

I draw nymphs a lot, but usually not in a seductive way. My nymphs are like "I'm just trying to sing a song with my friends, IN MY OWN HOME." They don't understand why men keep showing up & assuming it's for them.
