Just want to say there are still some safe states in the US. Here in NJ, the medical providers have stayed strong allies, and good schools are still supportive. If you do live in a place like this, lean on those who can help. Start by finding a local trans community who can direct you, first.

Where our kids go to school, AI doesn't seem like much of an issue yet. It makes us wonder if the stories are truly prolific, or a set of 5 stories of 1 off incidents.
That said, we're lucky our kids listen to us as we explain how wrong AI can be and how they can't just trust it.
