It seems there was a minuscule amount of weight painting on the other foot, and since this was a mirrored paint, both feet had an itty bitty amount of control of one each others toes

After figuring that out on accident I just removed it and all was honky dory

Forgot to activate backface culling on the shell shading before posting, losing all the light and leaving only shadow. Whoops

Spine could do with some realigning, but otherwise I think I could use this after a bit of re-topology as another base for models.
