I remember watching Superman after school in the 50s - do you remember the opening theme about America being the land of the free? That's the vision of America we grew up with & now it's anything but! My heart breaks.

How can any person treat other humans so cruelly - it breaks my heart to witness the inhumanity of so many. It's purely luck that you were born in any country & have no inkling that it could just as well have been YOU being unfairly persecuted for the crime of seeking a safe place to live.
