My soundtrack for @playwildgate.com is streaming NOW on all major platforms! I'm so happy with how this score came out, and I'd love to hear what you think of, but only if it's positive.

Newly acquired 1977 R2-D2 that will sit atop my ARP 2600 (AKA the synthesizer used to make his voice) for inspiration. Give me your power, Artoo!

TGIF, friends. A new (circa 1979) toy to play with for the weekend just showed up.

I'll have more to share on the music very soon, but in the meantime, here's a minute of me pretending to know what I'm doing in the podium in front of an orchestra.

Here are some photos of the fabulous crew who helped me bring this soundtrack to life: audio director Dave Shumway, orchestrator and conductor Evan Rogers, and recording and mixing engineer Jason LaRocca. Along with the incredible Nashville musicians, I couldn't have done it without them.

I'm back from a prolonged absence to tell you all that #WILDGATE is finally available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC! Scored by Yours Truly. Working on the music for this game was the highlight of my year in 2024, and I'm thrilled it's finally out there in the world.

Spent Saturday night on the Universal Studios back lot where they shot the town square exteriors for the Back to the Future movies. They had live actors doing an immersive experience, recreating scenes from the movie. Super fun!

PAX East was a blast last week. Good to be back in my old stomping grounds of Boston for a bit, reconnect with some friends, and make new ones. Hopefully I'll get back next year! Here's a little fun video I made.

Gorgeous city.

Join me and @noabeazley.bsky.social this week at PAX East as we discuss scoring for games! We'll draw from our own experiences and shed some light on what makes interactive music different from scoring film and TV. I'm excited to be back in the city where my musical life and career began!

Hello from the very spot where Mozart stood and conducted the premiere of Don Giovanni. The National Theater, Prague.

Off to the beautiful city of Prague for a week full of music and pilsner at Composers Summit Prague 2025! This is my third year speaking there, and it's truly an honor every time. I love Prague!

Here's a little sneak peek at the full track so far. Rough mix and still some temp stuff in there, but it's very close to sounding how I want it.

Decided to go with the Phantom for this particular guitar solo. I think I may redo it to smooth a few things out, but it's got the right sound and vibe. I love this weird guitar.

Tools of the trade. I'm working on some personal material and getting back to something I don't get to do much these days: play guitar.

A neat thing: my first appearance on a GDC speaker card! Top rated speakers from the previous year get their picture in the deck the following year. It's a fun little gesture of appreciation, and a nice memento for all the hard work it takes to put together a talk. GDC recovery weekend begins now.

Why Season 2, you ask? That was the first time the game had a live orchestra performing the score. It was also my very first time ever working with a live orchestra. To say I was nervous is a massive understatement. Fortunately, the orchestra was world class and performed it all beautifully.

The kitties found some flowers this morning. Turns out it's not so easy to get pollen out of cat fur...
