I got into optometry school and decided not to go because costs were outrageous. Got an MBA and make as much as I would have as an OD. Makes no sense.

Oh man this. And as a newer artist the imposter syndrome is real. I always tell people starting out that that they will feel like this and it’s totally normal. You can throw your biggest bowl one day and the next day you can’t pull a cylinder. Ceramics isn’t for the weak 😂

Thank you so much! Hoping I can repeat it.

Thank you! I love mixing the textures of a shiny and a matte/satin. This came from an experiment so excited to see if I can recreate.

Thank you! It was a happy ending to an experiment 😂 as you know it doesn’t always happen like this.

Love the round belly on this one and how tapered you took the bottom in.

Thank you! Glazing is always such a mystery but amazing if it works out.

I haven’t explored hand building yet. As soon as I get out from under my pile of work to glaze it’s on my list 😂

Thank you! It’s so fun getting to check out new potters. I feel like so many of us got lost in instagram.

I’m kind of enjoying starting from scratch rather than an algorithm deciding!

Love the rim on this! I did something similar on a vase recently but I hadn’t thought about doing it on a mug.

Can’t wait to see this finished. Beautiful work ❤️
