Once you’ve finished book 3 check this site out afeastwithdragons.com The 4th and 5th book happen and the same time but George kind of split them geography. 4 is Westeros while 5 is North of the wall and Essos. It’s a bit of a pain to switch between two books but it great improves the experience.

Which is why Sansa comes out on top because she realized her parents and brother were fools. She learns from Cersei, Littlefinger, Tyrion et al and takes it upon herself to save House Stark. IMO strongest and best character. Can’t wait to see how she becomes queen in the book.
