The 2025 field season is off to a great start! Our VectorED TEC interns are learning deer handling, out in the field mouse trapping, and conducting tick surveillance. They are also learning some vet skills, including skin biopsies and sutures and blood draws. A lot to get through in just two weeks!

Wrapped up year 3 collaborating with BFREE in Belize looking at tick diversity. Another amazing trip and 🤞 for upcoming proposals so we can continue!

First day of Elk checks for us at the Elk County Welcome Center. We are tracking longhorned tick, but glad to get some keds too! Thanks to the PA Game Commission for letting us come out!

Holy smokes, that's a lot of Wabbitats! Getting ready for some bed but monitoring trials with chickens (not wabbits).

The Vet Entomology lab presented a snapshot what we do at Legislative Tour day. We were able to demonstrate filter paper assays & even hold mini focus groups to demo how we are changing our approach to VBD education.
