🧵 Raytheon Vertical Launch Aero Reaction Control (VELARC) was a mid-1970s research program for a canistered, vertically launched missile.

The firing sequence began with pneumatic ejection of the missile. The motor ignited after the ejection (cold launch).

Ukraine’s Antonov plant has completed the modernization of the An-124-100 "Ruslan" transport aircraft. Work began in 2021 but was paused due to the full-scale invasion. On July 11, 2025, the aircraft was safely relocated to Germany.

It’s just around 1pm on a sweltering 87-degree day in the green fields and woods of Adams County, PA. The morning was rent by battle as Meade ordered the XII, XI, and I Corps to regain their hold on Culps Hill which is successful. It has been relatively quiet save for scattered skirmishing

Visited the Airforce Armament Museum at Eglin for the first time in years. While some recent restoration work on outside displays had me scratching my head...

They now have an F-102 Delta Dagger! (Have all century series fighters except F-106)
