wild that she didn't consider letting the interactions happen between real people naturally and then just fucking talk to them if things go bad. you can ask people questions. if theyre your coworkers, its free

it sounds like dying is increasingly probable as a result of leaving a house over there so i guess we can consider you a visionary

i wrote a literature review on the topic of OT cybersecurity during university which really solidified my interest in this stuff. you can read it here www.linkedin.com/pulse/loss-c...
Loss of critical control: the effect of malware on industrial control systems
From loss of critical infrastructure to loss of life, the extent of the potential damage is vast. And it’s only getting worse.

so i was like huh. i'm good at this? so figured cybersecurity was a good match

i got into OT cybersecurity after learning about triton, a piece of malware that could turn off safety systems in a petrochemical plant. malware can kill people now which is cool and bad. so, here i am

i chose cybersecurity because i managed to stalk some guy who was stealing and uploading patreon content from when you could see content before you were billed. i waded through vitriol 8chan boards to locate patterns and find his real accounts, and personal domain. i could have doxxed him

suboptimal setup, but it works

all this to read articles by the lovely people at @theverge.com on a screen that doesn't obliterate my eyes. worth it tho

it's amazon based DRM (though i don't buy from amazon) apparently. and they allegedly change their DRM stuff a lot. the plugins don't appear to have been updated recently, so i assumed it was that
November 21, 2025 at 11:18 PM
i installed the plugins and it can open the book but when i try to save it as an epub it just errors saying it's DRM protected

images didn't load. the articles i read tend to be heavy on images that are important for context. So I had to use this. and renamed anything called pocket to instapaper:

sometimes I still have to select an image bc it's not loaded but it works in the viewer

i have to pay a subscription for IFTTT because each rss feed needs its own applet hhhhh. but anyway. this solution worked for getting articles to my kobo w/o me manually adding things to instapaper. it looks a lot worse than the KOreader presentation, but at least I can read the articles. HOWEVER,
November 21, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Kobo ereaders used to have pocket integration but it's moved to instapaper now. So I set up IFTTT applets to automatically send each rss feed to my instapaper (but it has to be the root folder - folder'd or tagged articles will not show up on kobo instapaper For Some Fucking Reason)
November 21, 2025 at 11:09 PM
that photo is reading articles via KOreader, which has a dedicated rss feed function. It looks really nice, the pictures show up fine, etc. But i can't for the life of me get calibre to un-DRM my books and KOreader does not support reading DRM'd books so I had to get creative with the stock OS

also writing all the alt text is time consuming bc i refuse to be lazy and vague with the ones i write but i save it to a txt file in the same folder as the art itself so it's hella easy to reuse

anyway. that's,,, my art project rn. also chipping away at another painting when i have time
