I have now finished (after 3 months) one side - the king is approx 55cms tall & the pawns (on average) 32cms

even tho he's the most useless piece on the board (more a liability than an asset) what is a queen without a king?

without a queen the plebs become unruly

the new universe of possibilities ... a chess set (individual pieces approx 30cm tall) is being born ...

I made this piece (titled: self-portrait) to give to my surgeon after he removed a tongue cancer - it opened a door into a new universe of possibilities (stand by)
