What he is describing is an eating disorder. Which (sadly) is very feminine.

Right the classic dilemma: Protest and risk giving him reason to invoke martial law (effectively making him king) or to stay quiet and watch as he dismantles the system until he’s the only one left with authority… So how do you take action while avoid playing into the authoritarians hand?

The housing shortage would exist even without high immigration. But if we are going to solve the problem we need to build more homes and will need as many workers as possible and I can bet you a lot of those people will be immigrants.

Truly! The “trans debate” is giving the “Jewish question” and it’s very scary.

I was at a Toronto vs Minnesota PWHL game. Minnesota has a player (Britta Curl) who has made anti trans comments. Anytime she popped up on the jumbotron the entire stadium would loudly boo. And the majority of the crowd at those games is made up of young girls who play hockey and their parents.

This, along with taking Donald Trump exactly at his word, seems to destabilize him. He’s used to getting away under the guise of joking or exaggeration. Take him deadly seriously, and he doesn’t know how to react.

When I lived in the US, I always found it weird how even Americans who were critical of the country still had this deep sense of American exceptionalism. Like history’s rules applied everywhere but there. Like they knew things were slipping, but naming it (authoritarianism) was beyond their reach.

Honestly I think many of us are equally sad and worried for you guys. We’re all in this together.

Of course it’s not all boring. I was being dramatic but unfortunately it’s the direction things are heading. Harder to get those shows made. Streamers actively tell producers they only want true crime and second screen content (plots you can understand while also being on your phone).

It’s already been boring. Streamers and studios pushing IP and “second screen” content. I mean even just the fact that an entire art-form (film and tv) has been downgraded to largely being called “content”.
