I wear a lot of wool. Not set fire to the kitchen for years now. Cats and hens can dispose of evidence: they are thorough but slow. Denizen of #Wulferhampton. In real world North West England. Mostly happy.
One way of putting it.
Absolutely barking is another.

Do you have a leather armchair in which to fulminate?
It is on my list for my study when we move.
Along with antique fox mask, boar's head and deer feet.
I intend my study to resemble that of a 1900's brain dead posho.

I find older 'soft' jazz okay in small doses.
Bonzos, "Jazz: delicious hot, disgusting cold"

Bit of ragtime, bit of jazz. Some stuff the Bonzos covered.
This is what we have on:

It's our compromise listen. Daughter home. Both inoffensive and massive fun.
I liked British ska, but preferred the original after I had found it.
By the time I was I got into the Pogues. Saw originally as support for Costello.
Hard agree on Prog.
Even when stoned.

I'm sure he appreciates it.

A lot of my friends were influenced by older brothers prog rock taste.
I was briefly into ska as well.
Still absolutely love Devo and Elvis Costello.

That said, currently listening to some 1920s music.

They are fun, but expensive and horrendously inefficient.
I could just about live with an electric one if solar and wind powered.
But they are beasts.

We saw it recently. It was.
I was 11 then: seems I went punk/new wave and you went metal.

We are moving next year (probably). Because of location and budget, I keep seeing houses with Agas.
Mrs Mac says they make really crisp toast.
I know they do, but I live in horror of ending up with one.
They are an expensive nightmare.

Good suggestion if you are questioning a prisoner, but possibly against the Geneva Convention.

Working my Way Back to You.

"Women at work" signs.

God, it was grim.

I'll be honest.
I'm in Lancashire and I have Bury black pudding in the fridge.
I also possess several collarless shirts, a number of weskits and some cords.

Sadly lacking clogs.

They weren't, but wearing weskits, corduroy britches and flat caps implies a certain navvieness. (They were wearing shirts too, but they weren't comment worthy.)

You mean the martial art of Lancashire?

I do rather like the expression on the socket. It seems saddened.
November 14, 2025 at 8:07 PM
Oh jeepers!

Are you a time traveller from a rather sophisticated 1920s speakeasy?

Excellent!

I actually read that as Atomic Wodehouse.

Bestie Wooster science fiction. Very niche.

In the Wine Soc's defence it is a one off payment, then life membership.
I'm glad i joined, but there are some very good Portugese wines in actual shops.
I swear by Lidl and Aldi.

I sound like a bad fantasy book character.

"I swear by Lidl and Aldi, the gods of my people, that I shall be avenged!"
November 14, 2025 at 10:16 AM
I did! Feeling brighter.
November 14, 2025 at 9:44 AM
The bad news is that you have to be a member; the good news is it is cheap and a one off payment.
Seriously worth joining. Excellent value for mid price wine (anything over a tenner for me). Cheap stuff is comparable to supermarket prices.
