At one point European Medicine involved pigeon poo... among a lot of other poo, and other caustic applicants to draw out the evil humor of a person's ailment. Pigeon poo apparently being less smelly.

Enough taxable income and Zero savings.

The saint is nameless because during the French Revolution, they hated not just nobility, but the clergy as well. So a lot of statues had identifying markers hacked off so they couldn't be identified. (Or so we were told when Mom bought her).

p.s. My #cats have worshiped the #namelesssaint, which is why she's on a pedestal. The light reflects my beliefs. Thomas Cat *REFUSED* to listen to me (and he usually did), and stared at her for around 10 minutes. I raised her up so I could talk to her as well.

That connection happened because we TALKED. We made connections about books, and other hobbies. It took time.

I like THAT part. Some posts are empty. Some I like, like Mollie snoring and dreaming. Even while on Tiktok no one has looked at it.

But still... I want to connect with READERS. How?

So the question is: CAN you sell books to people if you struggle to make connections online? Connections with readers.

This is doubly tricky because one of my best friends is someone I met online. She's an #esfinges whom I met to vet the martial arts for Fate of the Red Queen.

I don't get alerts when I get a note from #messenger And there's no app from #Meta, including #FB on my phone. I don't get alerts about emails either.

I think the joy in this is that when I do get out, I actually connect with PEOPLE, not my phone.

This feels tricky because I want to sell books.

But I just checked my #smartphone. I'm not on it as much as I thought. I think the reason is that the only thing that "dings" is when I get a phone call. Bird sounds. Rings make me jump. I might get a "whoosh" sound when I get a text message.

Or cobble it from something from Goodwill, or some other kind of shop?

Ged is one of my favorite characters. I love his arc, and how his compassion blossomed in further books.
