Without legal representation, asylum seekers navigating Immigration Court proceedings are at greater risk of being sent back to persecution in their home countries. Nearly 90% of asylum seekers without representation were denied asylum.

The federal government is expanding its monitoring of social media. The reach of law enforcement agencies is still unclear.
