Face judgments were broadly consistent between Israeli and US raters, with two key differences: Israelis rated faces as more typical, while US raters sorted them into more ethnic categories.

We also provide social norming data collected from Israeli and US participants. Faces were rated on 16 social traits, like dominance, trustworthiness, intelligence, and attractiveness.
Additionally, we examined how Israeli and US participants categorize the nationality and ethnicity of the faces.

All individuals were pictured posing multiple facial expressions—happiness, anger, sadness, and neutral face (with and without masks). We successfully validated the authenticity of these expressions. 👌
