Did you forget to wash your hands after touching raw turkey and then touch a fridge handle? Okay, you gotta disinfect that now. And the faucet. And the cutting board. Plus the phone you kept tapping to check the recipe.

I can’t have been a over 12 at a city pool when a similarly aged boy was going around sexually assaulting girls in the pool (poking crotches under the water). I told an adult, thinking surely he’d be kicked out of the pool. Nope. Told to stop. Was allowed to keep swimming. I was so confused.
