Bad actors aren't necessary for bad information, information wants to be wrong by itself (thanks Sam & Max). This is a natural evil compounded by the increase in communication channels, a fact that bad actors intuitively exploit even further.

Great thread! I think the peer-to-peer aspect of this deserves further qualification. It's not just more information in competition between more actors, it's that information also has a natural tendency to decay and corrupt.
