In reading court and chat records from the com Network I have identified several instances where the victims create their social media through school provided Gmail accounts and Chromebooks or computers. 4/

The parent noticed unusual behaviours: the child became secretive, spent long hours online, signs of self-harm, had unexplained changes in mood & device usage. When looking at what, where, & who their child were interacting with online, the parent found inappropriate chats & attempted grooming. 2/

Members would escalate to making further demands and threatening to share the images with the victim's family if they do not comply. The abuse also included forcing them to carve the names of their tormentors on their bodies with sharp instruments. Victims were aged 12 to 17.

3) this will really deal with Roblox issues of predators and threat actors on their platform that are also under 18.

4) this is in no way emergency PR "trust and safety" features being implemented because they are being sued.

1) I would DEEEEEFINITELY trust a third Party AI app with my childs images

2) this has NEEEEEVER been done before, and has not already been circumvented by kids and adults using AI to generate fake images of their faces or government ID

There has been several in Canada so far, one in Edmonton facing terrorism charges (minor), one in Winnipeg charged with terrorism (adult), one in halifax charged with CSAM offenses (minor), one in lethbridge (minor). Of note 764/the Com Network mention by CSIS director in public speech last wk.
