Deportation numbers have fluctuated, but the administration is increasingly seeking to send people to third-countries. More than 8,100 people were deported to countries other than their own.

The judge, Veronica M Segovia, has denied more than 100 asylum applications, and granted asylum in a single case. @wcraft.bsky.social and Andrew Witherspoon analyzed 25 years of asylum application decisions and found Segovia grants asylum at an exceptionally low rate.
