Only one of the many, many perks of being a #KDrama #Cdrama fan eh?😂 I am on Ep 30 of #FireworksOfMyHeart. I wish it were shorter, but so far it has been pretty decent with handling a lot of issues.

HoHoHo don't let me get started on that character. #SomethingInTheRain is one of my favs, but only and ONLY the first 6 episodes or so. But I appreciate the POV- people are cowards and far from perfect in real life and their story also needs to be told. #FireworksInMyHeart perhaps will be healing.

Wow that is good! especially the last one. (You are not a psychology major are you?) I am very interested to know how they eventually convince her. I am also curious about the second female lead and her motivations. She seems manipulative but leaves room for doubt as well. Intrigued.

After all she took in an orphan and loved...er...atleast treated that child exactly same as her own child. and I get her reaction to her teenage daughter's crush too. But her reaction to her grown up kids are so ..........problematic.

Right? Really Unpleasant. We as #KDrama #CDrama fans are not alien to toxic parent characters (Looking at you, mother from #SomethingInTheRain). But, I find it hard to understand this particular mother. She is a very interesting character. She is not inherently evil- even the FL explains it...

She is a doctor now,a good one at that. She dates her old love, who is no longer the orphan but an accomplished civil officer and firefighter. But you are still against the marriage,accusing your 29 year old daughter to be "blinded by love", and threatens to cut her off. Gotcha. #FireworksofMyHeart

This is an absolute masterpiece of a scene in ANY drama. So raw, so realistic in terms of what someone expects from a proposal/confession. He said EXACTLY what she wanted to hear. It is very hard to say No to such a proposal. And I love how they enter the field both smiling from ear to ear!

In books (English), I prefer SF and Fantasy but in dramas, I am skeptical. I liked #WhoRulesTheWorld, but it is more #Wuxia right? I have this plan of starting #TheLostTomb series, which is modern fantasy I think, but I am hesitant.

..it has the same FL as #Minglan, and another kindred spirit recommended #AncientLovePoetry to me. I started #LoveInTheClouds but my head hurt. Then I read its episode recaps which DID NOT HELP.Magical systems and world building is of utmost importance to me.

Ah that brings us to my next concern. Xianxia. I don't know where I stand with it. In books, I love fantasy. But in dramas, especially in #CDramas, they really confuse me. My list has only one I think, #TheUntamed and in #KDrama only #AlchemyofSouls. I really want to try #LegendofShenLI because ..

It had quite a unique story, with a somewhat platonic love/friendship between those characters, and I do love the leads. Especially #LiYunRui. I think they are uniting for another drama soon.

Not that I didn't like them, I did complete them and found them interesting. I am not too fond of the actors in #BlossomsInAdversity but I am quite fond of the leads in the other one. Btw I forgot to add #Blossom to the list. I really liked that one. Especially the dynamic of the monk and the FL.

You read the book?! Ah yes same heroine as #YanxiPalace right? I will give it another try though. I did like the tortured villain character, and I dropped before the leads got together. But the ending is ambiguous I heard?

#2521 I am not ready for the ending. But there are so many others here that I have not even considered or heard about but now that it is on the list of someone who liked #Minglan, I feel hopeful!

Now among these one I am really confused about is #LoveBetweenFairyAndDevil. Haven’t seen it yet but trailers and synopses makes me think I may not like it.Also the FL’s voice is- baby like which I find really..not good. But it comes with such high recommendations and I do like #DylanWang

Watched #BlossomsInAdversity but it was right after #Minglan so that affected my review a lot. Ok but nothing stood out for me. Also, I found it hard to believe she rose to that power within a year. #WonderlandOfLove was entertaining with #JingTian and ofc #XuKai but again, didn’t stand out.

I dropped #TheDouble though. I liked its vibe. I really wanted to like it. I really really like #WangXingue. But there were so many things I found silly. How she escaped how she impersonates the other person and some motives. I fount it to have so many stills and closeups. The ML was wonderful.

Oo I have so many questions!!! I have only watched a few from the list. I am watching #FireworksOfMyHeart right now. On Episode 3 and I like it so far. But I saw many bad reviews. Am glad you suggested it. I can continue with it. I have #TheGlory on my list. CDrama right?
