Hello! I am a MSc student at USP, Brazil. Currently, I am working on a neuronal nonlinear network simulation and its transition to Chaos. I really enjoy reading books, swimming, running, horror movies and COFFEE! 👩🏻‍💻☕️🇧🇷

We found a nice way to accurately solve the SIS model. Rather than expanding in space with ever larger moment closures (pairs, triples, ...), we expand in time. No more difficult than pair-approximations yet much more accurate.

The threshold and quasi-stationary distribution for the SIS model on networks
We study the Susceptible-Infectious-Susceptible (SIS) model on arbitrary networks. The well-established pair approximation treats neighboring pairs of nodes exactly while making a mean field approxima...

Our new article in Chaos. One of my favorite articles so far. Connecting different disciplines and building on recent breakthroughs in ancient fields (Linear Algebra!).

How individual systems and their connections react to each other to ensure stability of the whole.
We live in a complex world with a plethora of connections and interactions. Many important processes, such as power grid dynamics, ecological interactions, opinion formation, or brain plasticity, can ...

Another great visualization—The Network of the Conclave maps the social structure of the papal conclave, where each node represents a cardinal, colored by doctrinal orientation. Few modern decision-making processes combine secrecy, ritual, and influence as vividly as this one.
