You’re correct, but it’s hardly surprising given the investment in London infrastructure vs the rest of the UK. HS2 was an opportunity to push the rest of the North forwards. Alas successive gov’s have wasted billions and abandoned it

Money would be much better invested into supporting infrastructure in other major metro areas… like Mc’r airport. London is supported by 4 int’l airports already.
