Of course, you should recommend Hollow Knight first!

Yes indeed, what a curmudgeon response 😏

The problem is "games people want to play". There's this old indie called "And Yet It Moves" that doesn't work anymore on Windows 8 or newer, but Proton plays it perfectly.

But how many people are interested in And Yet It Moves?
They want Battlefield 6.

No one has tried ALL the monitors, only review sites like Rtings.
So ask them!

Personally I know that I would never trust Samsung to deliver good software without ads or other BS, so I wouldn't buy them.
I would also stay away from ASUS, costs too much.
The 6 Best Monitors of 2025
The best computer monitor we've tested is the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM. It's a premium 27-inch, 4k monitor that has a QD-OLED panel.

So, basically, no reason.

What's wrong about Nintendo?

Differently from the others I won't ask "What game?" but "What kind of feature?"

Difficulty, accessibility, visual, gameplay, technical?

Horizon Zero Dawn can be played like Assassin's Creed and The Witcher 3 without problems!
Main and Side quests are clearly marked and the map is filled with combat and platforming challenges, danger zones with more enemies, human outposts...
If you liked BlackFlag definitely check Horizon out ASAP!

One great series to play is Assassin's Creed.

Watch this video to see the story of AC1 and then start and play AC2, it's considered a phenomenal game for a good reason.
I just recommend skipping AC1 because it's not available on modern platforms and it's just too old.

My personal recommendation is try more games, expand your horizons (pun intended). Open world doesn't mean a mess of random stuff to do in a huge map with no control.

It just means the map is bigger than in a linear game and you go from point A to point B, in that map, to do stuff.

Let me also add that HZD's story has what's probably the best and most realistic depiction of Machine Learning / AI in videogames, if not in all games at least in the recent AAA space, showing that the writers understand how machine learning works and built a credible world around it.

They're part of the mainstream, normal people know about them and talk about them, and are inspired by them.
And this is why their sequels were just as huge as the first movie and game.
There's an Italian TV documentary program called Mompracem that basically stole HZD's logo lol

In my opinion, because you haven't played Horizon or watched Avatar you think they didn't have an impact, but that's simply not true.
Also I don't think you can judge 'long-lasting impact' quite so soon.

Define "grip on their zeitgeist"
November 5, 2025 at 5:17 PM
I figured. People talking about things they don't know anything about...
That's the quintessential Internet discourse, in the end.

Have you played it?
November 5, 2025 at 3:11 PM
Not with that ugly ass LCD screen, and the OLED costs too much.
November 5, 2025 at 3:00 PM
lol and of course you're an Xbox fanboy.
Don't worry, your platform isn't lasting forever either.
You can already hear its death rattle.

Don't rush and you'll be fine
November 2, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Yeah popularity also means "I've got to play the game so I can talk about it with friends!", and that's why popular games are completed more. Then there's quality and then there's "accessibility" like easy modes.

The average has always been 30% for completing the main story in games, and I don't think there's ever been any change in how these percentages are counted.

Oh gosh why stop there? I want to see the whole Blackwell cast, both in the old and the new Willis artstyles 😆
