I've actually done this with other people in the elevator and kinda looked up to meet everyone's gaze. Not a single person on that elevator batted an eye. I even got a smile and a subtle nod of approval. xD

Listen to your kids when they say they want to transition. Encourage them to be their best self. Help them. <3

I would have done it in a heartbeat when I got older, but the hrt would have been live changing and life saving at a young age. Most kids who go through it- often times make multiple attempts on their life like I did. It's a wonder in still alive.
