These “18 trainer” decks were running rampant before Oricorio came out, and they would absolutely still be the norm if there wasn’t a card that force you to add non-EX damage to your deck

More of a prediction here, but I'd never normally play a game with "Psychological Horror" as one of it's tags, and after playing this, I think I'm starting to see the appeal. This is also a game I'd treat as a piece of art, and I never felt this way about games until playing this

Besides being my first major branch out into JRPGs (I had basically only played FF and Pokémon), this game taught me to love strong and well-developed characters. I somewhat cared about stories before this game, but this was the first game to make me cry (multiple times lol)

I had played fighting games before, but between this game being easy to pick up and being a franchise I loved, it properly introduced me to the FGC. After this I played Street Fighter, other anime fighters, and now I'm willing to try any fighting game

My very first Roguelike/lite and Steam game that I played on my crummy laptop, also opened my horizons many more indie games as someone who had only played them on Xbox Live. I don't talk about this game a lot, but it honestly may have affected me more than any other game
