Until it closed, I worked at Book Stacks Unlimited, an online bookstore created in '92. Possibly the earliest online shopping, began as dial-up bulletin board 3 years before Amazon. In '94 it moved to the Internet as books-dot-com (when the company closed, the URL was acquired by Barnes & Noble).
