Can’t fathom it. 😕

“Hard Left… extreme left… doctrinaire socialism…” you haven’t said woke or radical yet but my centrist dad bingo card is filling up.
Remember this exchange when next year’s Senedd election results come out. (You have heard of Wales?)

There you go again. 😕🙄

That description might apply to your leafy suburb but not so for much of S Wales and beyond.

Your animus towards the Hard Left is ridiculous and you engaged with my post by hysterically shrieking about saving us all from the horrors of Militant. It’s nice for a Metropolitan soft left “pragmatist” to counsel me on what ordinary voters think but good luck to if you think Labour is thriving.

Britain was in a parlous state in 45-47, but Attlee had courage and convictions, which neither Kinnock, nor Starmer have.
July 7, 2025 at 3:39 PM
His policies in 1945-50 would be dismissed as lunacy by “pragmatists” like yourself. I can see why you’re defending Kinnock.
July 7, 2025 at 3:36 PM
Kinnock’s record of 180 degree “conviction” changes on Europe, CND, House of Lords and readiness to throw miners under a bus meant that Labour has little credibility left His bloated ego and readiness to offer pronouncements on contemporary politics just rubs salt into still raw wounds.

Was Atlee “Hard Left”?
I live in S Wales and can barely recall anyone local saying anything positive about Kinnock or his useless son.
Militant was a newspaper with 2 MPs as supporters and a few councillors in Liverpool who terrified the tabloids. It was hardly poised to take over Labour.

He’d know all about the lying.
His leadership of Labour gave us 2 more terms of Thatcher and his betrayal of working class communities paved the way for the right wing populist parties to fill the void.

Also devoid of humanity, humility, empathy, self-awareness, compassion, morality, integrity, loyalty…
