Things were easy when I played electric bass and was just happy for any opportunity but now im trying to play a specific form of jazz and finding it too niche to get other people interested.

I get the feeling a lot of groups form by just meeting up to play over shared interests but what happens when no one shares your interests?

The last question is the most important cause you do have to convince people its worth their time.

Like how do you find a drummer?

How do you find practice space?

How do you get people to "believe" in your idea?

Hoping to get another one done cause there's a couple things I'm not a fan of here. Just putting my hat in the ring.

You're always going to be wrong with mocks. With this one I was really just messing around with as many trades as I reasonably could.

Anyways I really want to direct attention to one idea here. Cleveland getting back in round 1 (ahead of the Steelers) to pair Sheduer with Hunter. #NFL

2025 is the year to push yourself and do that thing you wanna do.

It's really been a lesson in hard work, humility, and self care.

Learning jazz theory as a working adult, learning to play my instrument, advocating for opportunities. All worth though....a most honorable mission.

Incredibly humbling experience for someone who is effectively a beginner. Pretty much just getting publicly embarrassed several times a week.

Took my first solo last week. Went about as expected and I overheated 😅

You don't need to be good at any of these things. Just enough to be able to vocalize improv ideas or harmony.

Half bombed it. Half impressed myself (for someone with basically no music background)
