AEW is currently going through an absolute great run - anyone saying different isn't watching it.

AEW brought many of us back to professional wrestling after 10+ years away.

Eh, he's a midcard guy who's not that great on the mic. Fumbled his own career.

Yeah, but that's buried within Foxtel, which most people under 55 don't have.

It is on Kayo, which is maybe more widespread for sports fans

If you have Foxtel, I think it's on there, or kayo. Most watch on Triller, I think

Complete garbage.

West Coast has barely started their rebuild. Melbourne is soon to enter one.

Where the hell is Adelaide in this list? Or Gold Coast?

A lot of the people there last night were from Sydney and Melbourne, including everyone in my row.

You're right that they'd probably do more, but we need to be realistic. AEW doesn't have the visibility here that it does in the UK - it's a good result all things being considered.

I heard it was WSW?

In any event, a local promotion. What was distracting?
February 16, 2025 at 10:38 AM
No it wouldn't have.

Getting 12k or so is a fantastic result, considering AEW had almost no visibility here in Australia.

And not a drastically smaller ring. It's the WSW ring

They had a pencil on both Suncorp Stadium and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The promoter (TEG Sport) has ticketing exclusivity in both, and they're both owned by AEG.

It was clearly always the plan to roll the dice on the stadium, knowing they had a plan b.

13,500 in that arena, fwiw

Honestly, if it's not spelt out at a fourth grade level, they're completely oblivious.

The crowd were really positive and supportive to her - I think we all felt it was the right finish, and we wanted to show that we were still excited for her
February 16, 2025 at 10:22 AM
We really enjoyed booing him - he's doing great heel work, it's a sign of respect
February 16, 2025 at 9:38 AM
Nah, we had two hours of ROH first - it ended up being a long night

Kyle was booed in his entrance. The entire section I was in was raining boos down on him.
