I've been quietly writing the next draft of "life in loops: override." It's the second book and you can read them in any order you want. Book one is done. The only thing I had time for was to (re)design the logo for lil:o.

I always advocate for more contrast in drawings, but I often hesitate to apply it myself. Of course it doesn't make sense to draw a thousand lines and then lasso over them, but I like this page better now.

I like the lineart on its own even better. I might continue with just lineart and remake some of my old panels ^^ again

Probably my favorite panel so far - and such a side character. But I feel like I'm getting closer to finding my style. It only took 3 years ;)

Today was a good day. I spent all morning on the 3rd draft of the script for lil:o, and all afternoon and evening drawing.

Patience is a virtue, and it's not always easy to have. I spent the entire morning fixing this panel, because that's a lot more work, after masking layers and greyscale are done. That's s why the sketching phase is the most important one.

Ok, I've finished the prolog for lil:override. And I'm excited to continue, but let's celebrate this new start. It took me 11 months to rewrite a story that was essentially finished, and now I'll illustrate it.

Here is a view at a wip-page. Stickfigures are the way to start, then comes a sketch, then sleep - and the next day redrawing the sketch (in vectors). It's maddening that I need this process, but it's the only way, or else everything looks skewed.
