Also, I heard a few people here (in CH) don’t like when you speak Hochdeutsch upfront, without a greeting or a few words in Schwiizerdütsch before.

Grüezi ! Yup, sadly a lot more casual racism and sexism here. It’s a bit weird, from my pov of a French black man living here. Racism near the Leman is more frequent than France, but less hateful. Hope you enjoy your stay, the country is beautiful if not cheap !
