If we assume that every program has at least 1 bug and every program can be shortened by at least 1 instruction it follows that every program can be reduced to 1 instruction that does not work.

Early on, SNL was smartass and occasionally edgy - I miss it! But #SNL50 was just beating a very dead horse with a rolled up issue of People Magazine. I did appreciate the all-too-short bursts of flashback clips, tho I think none of them were newer than 20yrs.

If I close the tabs in question the fan typically winds down and stops, and since Firefox so kindly associates tabs with PIDs I can also see the culprits using "top".
I wish it was easier to deny Javascript execution on a per-tab basis.

...but I'm disappointed to notice the same cooling fan behaviorrs when I have Ars Technica pages open. I haven't had a chance to dig into this but I think of Ars as being on the Good Guys team so here's hoping that in their case it's just a coding botch and nothing dark.

...but I notice that occasionally when I have several YouTube tabs open the cooling fan throttles up, and it often then stays running even after I've watched the videos in question. I assume YouTube pages are full of tricksy Javascript and other stuff keeping the CPU busy so no surprise there...

The modifications to the childrens' bodies are made with devices that are essentially internal combustion engines. The operators are sometimes licensed but often not.
In every instance the parents would have forbidden the modifications to their child's body had they been consulted in advance.

ChatGPT kept dreaming up"solutions" that were poor or simply w0rng. I finally hand-tweaked the one that came closest. These sorts of problems are notorious for being deceptively difficult but I guess I expected a big-name AI to just hit it out of the park since I needed fewer than 10 pieces...
