…Malaysian food from across Malaysia here in the UK from the other Malaysians who have nostalgia for the food they had growing up. Good quality versions of dishes are harder to find back in Malaysia and it lives in the memories of the diaspora here, who try to create it here.

It’s interesting that the Chinese diaspora has kept up food and cultural traditions that you don’t see anymore on the mainland or HK. Possibly, these are only from a small town in Guangdong but popularised by the migrants over time in Malaysia. By the same token, I’ve learnt much more about…
