Can't blame plenty of ladies, including myself, taking one look at that and going NO THANKS.

It's not our fault that a lot of men can't keep up with the very basic standards of 'knows how to wipe his backside' and 'doesn't treat me like a bangmaid'. Not all, sure, but a LOT of them struggle with concepts like "Women are people with thoughts and opinions and wants of their own."

Women no longer rely on having a husband to have an income or to be able to achieve or own things - so the only reason to get married would be if there are specific things in married life they want, and if they find an actual PARTNER. Women have standards now, because for the first time, they CAN.

Of course way more women don't want to marry. At one time, marriage was the only way she could have a stable home or anything that was sort of her own - a husband was required for everything. On the men's side, they got to have a maid/mommy they could sleep with.
