Sorry I’ve been so quiet over here, it’s been a rough couple months. But in a couple weeks I’m back at uni for my final semester before I graduate in June/July. Been slowly trying to brainstorm ideas for my final project. Tossing up some options, yet I keep coming back to knitting at this stage.

January 26th is not a day of celebration for Australian Indigenous communities; it marks the beginning of immense loss and trauma.

Work in progress of some illustrations I’m working on. As much as I try to branch out with my procreate brushes. I just keep coming back to my fav - the 6B pencil brush. Anyways I’ve been so excited about this work that I’ve been thinking about it as I go to sleep.

A watercolour seascape of Cape Patterson Beach in Victoria, Australia. My beloved late grandfather before he passed commissioned me to paint for my Aunt. While I made this in 2017 and my style of painting has evolved, I still love it and always makes me think of my grandfather.

I got a library card today for my local libraries. Borrowed 3 books on knitting, weaving and fashion history. Already seen 6 more books I want to borrow next time. I wish I’d done this sooner!

I’m slowly knitting my first socks for my partner. I go between being excited to make endless socks, and wanting to do anything but knit this sock. But I recently turned the heel for the first time and I was anxious about it. But it actually was a lot easier than I anticipated luckily!

Mere moments before I realised I had not broken in my Doc Martin’s enough while walking to a graduate show in Brunswick.

It’s been about a year since I’ve done some watercolour painting and my little painting session today was delightful. It’s always lovely to come back to my favourite painting medium with a little mixed media. Hope you all like this little sketchbook moment as much as I do!
