I was 7 years old when people were moved to hastily-built structures at the Santa Anita Racetrack. I was told the people were Japanese. They were gone after about 5 months. I learned after the war where they had gone. I didn't understand the logic.

I used to live that life. I don't remember how many years ago that was but it was less stressful and more quiet. I remember that part. I think it won't turn that direction again.

That was my first thought when I heard that comment. He really looked as if he was talking about himself (which is not uncommon for him).
