Drawing is a skill more than a talent. Last year i could barely draw a stick figure. I couldnt draw a straight line. I used one website and one book and saw immediate improvements such that i could draw a real looking hand in perspective. Effort reaps reward

I dont think thats what people are arguing. You're comparing one story to another story. The 39 movie isnt the only source of Wicked, and many elements of the 39 movie are not part of Oz lore.
The entire land of Oz was an allegory that still holds true, especially in Wicked.
