My Mother's people have a very old story which answers the question: Why do whales beach themselves?
Short answer; They carry the spirits of those who died at sea, back to land, and they did this to the Moon's and the Thunderbird's daughter - the FIRST woman.

If ever I get to choose who illustrates my books, I'm choosing you. Much of my story takes place in several cities, 2 are deep underground, one is inside of a dormant volcano and a fourth (our heroes' home town) looks VERY much like this illustration. Bravo!!
