There is one thing about modern IT companies that I dislike even more than daily meetings. Compared to this thing, even the longest meetings seem like a very pleasant way to pass the time:

Unpopular opinion: daily meetings in IT are necessary

If you feel that they are useless to you, it means that you have not yet risen to the level where you can see the big picture of the company's processes

I, for example, have not risen to that level, and I would be fine without daily calls😜
