Second one-shot I've been in today had the wonderful description of gnome turning back and seeing what to him appeared to be a kaiju fight between a bear and a giant centipede. I had to make that in Gimp as soon as I heard it.

Thanks to the community managers of @esotericebb.bsky.social for this.

Had a wonderful idea to summon a tentacle to pretend to fight it and earn favor with the enemy. When it was time to roll Performance, these were the results.

Not bad, but you could say very average

The King's Field renaissance and how much people actually enjoy it makes me hope that FromSoft might revive first-person slow dungeon crawlers, or at least the worlds of Shadow Tower and King's Field.
I know it's a small niche, but even a small little project would be worth the effort.

In a survey for Dawnsbury Days, I put "have them be more gay". I think the dev actually listened to the suggestion.

Actually, this sort of implies the jump was made only now, but the actual jump was from 3.5 to 4th. But both of these are more on the generic side of evil devil compared to 5th edition.

I'm just a huge nerd for character design, and going through the history of the depictions is great. Erinyes went from naked winged lady to bikini devil to absolute unit of an armor-clad devil. Seriously, they were indistinguishable from succubi, and now they are devil valkyries of nightmares.

Love it or hate it, but DnD '24 gave us some premium new art. I especially like the incubi and succubi. Incubi are now implied nightmare entities, and they look so fucking sick. The art's both of genders and the DnD Beyond thumbnail portrait has the masculine one for succubi and feminine for incubi.

Thinking about DnD alignment again

As much as I'd like to only clown on this game, it's pretty cool that they used Aramaic here. Maybe not fitting for words in heaven(?), nor words of Genesis, but I'm glad to see Aramic here.
Also not sure why Jesus sees a Genesis 1 puzzle the instant he gets baptized, but hey, it's a game.

Playing the AI-ridden Jesus game. They gave Jesus Batman vision.

Enderal will be the one RPG that is unforgettable for me in every aspect, and if there's one questline that I will point to in that regard, it's the "arena" quests. The countless details just make it a masterpiece of world-building, story-telling, and quest design.

It is played in rounds. Each round players put 4 cards on the battlefield. The cards could be items or potions, but most often they are enemies. It is your hero who then fights each card you put down. It's a strategy of risk taking and resource management to have the best stats by the end.

I want to shoutout a recreation of a dead game Runescape: Chronicles Legends.
Did you know Runescape had a card game? Did you know it had an amazing tabletop miniature presentation? Did you know it was a game where you don't attack the opponent, but YOURSELF?!
