Pentax was my first slr as a kid. It can't be used right now because the lens is misaligned just enough to not focus properly.

I don't think that most Americans don't care. It's that they've all been in survival mode (physically, mentally, financially) for sooo very long - way before any of this BS started; that it's hard to feel like they have any actual power to stop what's going on.
