I love my neighbours honey bees because they fertilise my fruit trees but today they decided to swarm and settle on my fence. My neighbour and her mum in law came and captured them all— they will find them a new home, queen and all .

Ethel Carrick, subject of a big exhibition at the National Gallery, did not get the fame she deserved. She painted a lot of women - at the markets, volunteering in WW2, and even did a couple of pictures of Canberra, my hometown. Do go and see it if you can

Vegans and lactose free people note! I don’t normally advertise but at last someone is making non dairy vanilla ice-cream from something other than coconut or soy. It is really good! (Could do with more vanilla but hey…) Bliss!
