Calling it done - definitely a learning experience. I thought that coming from Photoshop, Substance Painter should be easy, but it really rather made me miss Photoshop functionality. Painting in 3D space in general was quite fun, though!

Happy Birthday Christina, wishing you a lovely day and a great year ahead!

Yeah I can imagine, that's how I worked when I did my painting directly in blender (+then switching to Photoshop and hopping back and forth between the two). Thanks for the insights!

Link your drawing program as in, I can edit the UV texture in Photoshop and then hop back into 3dcoat? That does sound pretty cool... although I'm trying to get away from my reliance on Photoshop, haha. :D

I have heard of it but haven't tried it so far. I'm trying Substance because I have a few free months of that (and I like that it is supposed to be similar to Photoshop). What do you like better about 3D coat?

So far I miss painting on selected faces (without having to create a new layer with mask for it), and the ability to set my brush to a blending mode (like overlay) without having to create a new layer. And merging layers. Not sure if I can't do those things, or just did not find the settings yet...
