Anyways, that is just my experience. Maybe this will better fit you than me.

I use Windows for other things outside of gaming too so I’m happy with my rig. If you got the money, patience, and space then go for it! Steam OS (Linux) itself is pretty great and I wouldn’t mind dual-booting it

Though that’s just me. I’ve been trying to reduce all the devices I carry. Also sold my bulky Windows laptop and got a nice slim MacBook. I throw that and my Switch 2 into my backpack when I travel and it is super easy and light.

Steam machine could be nice though but I don’t see the point lol

I had a Steam Deck and even some Steam games had issues that needed custom fan hackery that you had to find deep into the web to make work.

Between my PC and Switch 2, I just decided it wasn’t worth it and sold it. Thing was bulky as hell too and a pain to take along with my other things.

Also, since it’s using Steam OS like a Steam Deck don’t expect to be able to use non-Steam games easily.

Like the Steam deck, you will have to change into Desktop mode and do some tinkering to get things installed outside of Steam and having it show properly in gaming mode.

Just a heads up.

If tinkering with settings and files to make some games run optimally/ work is what kept you from PC gaming this won’t be much different.

I’ll be disappointed if the Switch 2 Edition is the same thing but just with more enemies… it needs better textures, increased draw distance, and higher resolutions along with 60FPS.

Emulation hasn’t affected my enjoyment of Nintendo’s hardware, I’m having a blast with my Switch 2 sweetheart 😘

I don’t think Nintendo needs financial advice from some random idiot on the Internet that is salty about their success. 😅

If you want to speculate we could also speculate that going multi platform would’ve cannibalized the sales of those games on Switch plus hardware sales and not done that much more better.

Unfortunately for you, Nintendo going multi platform will continue to be just a fever dream. 🤣 😘

Game has been out for what, 5 months? Give it a few years and it’ll pass 50 million.

And only 10 multi platform games have ever passed 50 million. Meanwhile Nintendo has games that selling well above what most others wish they could and they don’t pay platform fees plus profit on hardware sales.

I was surprised at how well it plays/ runs and how much of the Switch 2's features it uses. The touch screen working was definitely a surprise. HDR too. Great port

I'll bite if a 60FPS update drops.

No 60FPS = no buy. If an update comes increasing FPS to 60/ performance mode then I will buy.

Very upsetting that this release was a low effort port to quickly capitalize on the year 1 Switch 2 sales…
